Learning is natural. Education is self-directed. At a young age, most of go to schools without our informed consent -- we have almost no idea what's coming and what it means to us. And throughout the years, we learned to associate our education with that place we have to go to every day, because they claim they provide education. That's wrong. Most schools don't proivde education. Schools and education are vastsly different, and unfortunately oftentimes mutually-exclusive concepts. Now you realized it. It's time to reclaim our education in our own hands. No institution is qualified to educate you, besides yourself. You should be in control of what you learn, whom you learn with, and why you are learning -- what kind of person do you want to become. Your education is fundamentally your life. If we give up some an important part of our life to an unknown institution, no wonder so many adults felt "lost" and "in crisis". Even worse, most people don't feel anything -- they work for big companies from 9 to 9, and they thought that's what life is supposed to be like. Their education stopped the moment they stop going to school. And to stop learning is to die. Our world is changing at an accelerating rate. This is not a hype, but a verifeid reality no matter what metric you are looking at. The world we live in will dissappear very soon. Old rules will be broken as revolutionary new technologies under our 陈腐的 social institutions -- school being one of them. Schools do not prepare us for the future. Schools do not teach us how to think. Schools do not help us grow. If you read nothing from the previous chapters, here's one message I am trying so hard to let people around me know -- the thesis of this entire series of essays. Reclaim your education when schools are failing the future.
