#school #success #responsibility
A school should not be obliged to make sure its students succeed just because it is paid.
-- It is not paid to shape the student into whoever they want.
If school can do anything just to "ensure the student's success", anything can happen.
What if the student doesn't want to succeed? What if the standard of success of the student does not align with the school's?
The responsibility of a school is to provide (resources, teachers, information) *when the student seeks*.
question: what is this contract of education? what exactly am I paying for?
a big problem: students don't pay; their parents pay --> a power balance between **three parties**
---
The biggest problem with modern-day schools is that they try to be reasonable for their students' success -- when each individual student should be in charge of his own success.
