Because it's currently like the UWC campuses are all very scattered around the world with little or single channel of communication between campus and campus and also campus and with the international office. [[The purposes of subunits may not align with the overall system purpose]] IO 和各个校区之间的隔离：下层学生 feeling detached from 上层 mission -- 传达不到位/损耗过高 各个校区之间的地理隔离导致的信息隔离：只有点对点的沟通，缺乏集体讨论的平台 ## Importance UWC is a cross-generational and cross-continental movement to empower students to make changes towards peace and sustainability through the force of education. 1. 要想跨越时间和地理统筹必须有一个强大的信息网络和信息系统 2. 必须要衡量这个运动的成果和有效性 -- 有多少学生做了什么 change？俄乌战争，加沙冲突，我们的学生和校友做了什么事来帮助？（不能只看 effort 不看 result -- 校内的教育更多是 effort，真正的 result 要等到校外才能体现） Each student, being a part of the mission, should be clear of his own responsibilities and expectations and feel connected to the greater goal, having the big picture in mind. --> requires 上层的理想和愿景低损耗传递给下层个体 --> information network ## Action Items The IO should clearly define (WWHW) - the goal and necessity of the entire mission - how can it be achieved - and what role does each campus and each student plays in it Our mission -- Here's why our new mission is important -- Here's how we are achieving it -- Here's what you can contribute -- track, celebrate, and drive actions and changes 每个人每天都可以上传今天干了什么事 in the goal of UWC mission, no matter how small ### But exactly what can be built? an online forum / community where each student / teacher / board member can post and comment and discuss. --> smth like expanding the atmosphere on CSC Teams to UWC worldwide each campus should have a communication representative / deputy that is in charge of inter-campus communication and is responsible to disseminate information.
