## 90 sec self-intro Hey everyone, so nice to be here and see everyone right now, in fact i think we desperately need more of these opportunities and platforms in which we can gather together and actually do something that we all care, and publicly discuss issues and ask questions. Anyway, I'm Jimmy Zhang, you might or might not have seen me, butum most of the time i prefer avoiding the spotlight, unless it's something that I really care about. But please be sure that I very much welcome those who would like to know about me. Last year in UWC Changshu, I was the shadow chairman of College Council -- our student council -- for a short period of time before I left. For those of you to whom UWC Maastricht is the first UWC you've been to, I'd like to point out that College Council works pretty differently back there, and there may be far more possibilities regarding what Student Council can do, compared to what we are currently doing. I honestly don't know if I can make any change, but I signed up at last minute nonetheless, just because I'm still hopeful that there's at least something to do despite all the constraints. ## Portfolio-specific questions There's really not a lot we can do in the area of academics as far as I can think of, because just like what Sindhu stressed in the first cohort meeting of the school year, not sure if anyone remembers, but we are a grade-focused IB school, and that says a lot. Timetable could be something to work on, I don't know, depends on what you guys think, and it's probably gonna be hard cuz this school's not just IBDP, we have primary kids and MYP. It's gonna be hard to achieve any change in an organization of such big quantity. You know when things get big, it just gets harder from it to move around or change direction. Inertia.
