*What kind of world makes doing the right thing so difficult?* who is this world good for? how do we design a better world that encourages moral care / empathy / communication social critique through everyday friction no dramatic oppression / opposition, no clear enemy or villain a bacon of hope: while systems may be flawed, **moral agency still exists at the individual level**—fragile, tiring, but real small character, navigating a huge system with no support --- you go with the flow, be a part of the system, conform (finish your homework, do you housework, do what ur supposed to do), and then everything would be fine -- but as soon as you have a sense of responsibility or ethics to do more, to care more, u will have to jump out of the system and face all kinds of difficulties in navigating it. Care about your own stuff, listen to authority, and then your life would be easy. if you try to think, try to care for help others, sorry the system is not designed to support that.
